Liability & Warranty Policy 

 

Warranty Coverage 

At StormShield Solutions, we take pride in delivering high-quality shrink wrapping services designed to protect your boat, equipment, or property through the toughest Canadian seasons. All shrink wrap installations completed by StormShield Solutions are covered under a limited warranty for a period of five (5) months from the date of installation. 

During this period, any required repairs due to normal wear, installation defects, or weather-related stress will be completed at no additional cost to the customer. Warranty coverage does not include damage caused by: 

  • Improper handling or tampering after installation 
  • Accidents, vandalism, or external impacts 
  • Extreme weather events (windstorms, heavy snow collapse, etc.) beyond normal seasonal conditions • Alterations made by anyone other than StormShield Solutions staff 

To make a warranty claim, please contact us with clear photos and a description of the issue within the 5-month period. 

Moisture & Mildew Disclaimer 

StormShield Solutions installs every wrap with one (1) moisture prevention pack and two (2) air vents as part of our standard package to promote proper ventilation and moisture control. Customers are always offered the option to add additional vents or moisture prevention packs for enhanced protection, as recommended by our team. 

While we take every reasonable step to minimize the risk of moisture buildup or mildew growth, these conditions are influenced by environmental factors beyond our control, including humidity, temperature changes, and prior moisture present at the time of wrapping. For that reason, StormShield Solutions is not liable for any moisture or mildew-related issues that may develop after installation. 

Customer Responsibility 

It is the customer’s responsibility to: 

  • Ensure the surface or vessel is clean and dry prior to wrapping 
  • Avoid tampering with or cutting the shrink wrap 
  • Report any issues as soon as they are noticed 

Failure to follow these recommendations may void warranty coverage.
